A Resolution I Plan To Actually Keep in 2014
I don’t know about you, but I have made just a few resolutions over these first 7 days of 2014. Some are abstract ideas… really just general reminders to myself to be a better friend, wife, mom, sister, daughter, etc. I’m going to go to the gym more, but “more” will be a very easy task to accomplish compared to where I’m coming from in 2013, I have to tell ya!
Then comes the focus of this post. I have a confession to make… one that I think many other photographers (or people) with children can relate to… I am AWFUL about making the time to take pictures of my own kids! Okay… let me re-phrase that… I am awful about making the time to take pictures of my own kids WITH AN ACTUAL CAMERA (a.k.a. not my iPhone). Now, I’m not complaining… I love the fact that it’s always there for me in a pinch, but I don’t want the years to go by without having some decent pictures of my kids living life.
SOOO, one of my 2014 and beyond resolutions is to get out my camera…. not just on special occasions, but on normal days… when we’re just having fun at the house (when it’s almost too cold to even step a toe outside like today) or at the park while the girls are chasing each other around the playground.
This was the first week, and I have to say that I already am confident that I’m going to keep this particular resolution. Just by the smile it puts on my face today… I can only imagine looking back at images like this 10, 20, 30 years down the road. Love these two little bugs…
I’m in love with these newly found piggies…
Showing off her tattoo… oh, and that sweet face! 🙂
Oh, how I am a sucker for those big sweet eyes…
And that smile!
Oh, and this little cheeser too. 🙂
