Ava & Sutton in Davidson – Simple Davidson NC Family Portraits

I’m always so excited to share my sessions with you, but this one I am just in love with.  Meet Sutton.

Sutton arrived at her forever home in North Carolina this past December and boy has she arrived!  She is a bundle of energy, similar to most little ones her age.  But, most of all, she is such a happy and loving little girl.  I could tell from the first I met her.

Mom found me after seeing a recent session I did for a dear friend with HER newly adopted daughter.  You can see more from that session here.

Like I mentioned, Sutton is such a happy little girl, and I just know that THIS special girl has a lot to do with that.  Meet Ava… Sutton’s big sister.

Isn’t she beautiful?  Such a sweet soul, too.  Ava also came home to her forever family several years ago.  Having two daughters of my own, I see the bond that two sisters can share on a daily basis.  It makes me happy to know that Ava and Sutton have each other along with two special parents who only strive for the best for them.  I am in awe of the patience and strength that these families must have as they wait to meet and bring home their children for the first time,  and as they navigate the challenges of their child’s transition into their new home.  Truly amazing.

Thank you Sutton and Ava for allowing me to take a glimpse into who you are through these images.  My time with you was a testimony to the fact, that whatever our background, whatever language we speak, where ever we come from, where ever we end up… we are not so different after all.
